Newbie to Running - trying something new

I'm trying to add running to my workout routine. Therefore I'm a newbie to running. And I don't particularly like running but it's something new that I haven't tried. Any advice to first time runners? More importantly I seem to struggle with controlling my breathing, any advice there? Please help!
