NSV: My bad days NOW are like GOOD days back then!

I didn't exercise yesterday and I KNEW that if I did I would have been UNDER my calories!

Then I thought a little more about it...I had about 1700 calories yesterday and was over about 250 calories for my daily net goal. I was just about to beat myself up over it...when I realized that when I wasn't being accountable for the food I put in my mouth, I'm sure I could have horked down a good 3000 (if not 4000) calories in one day! AND that would have been 3000 calories worth of unhealthy food with no nutritional value.

So in reality I have made some very positive changes. My bad days NOW are what I would have thought were GOOD days back when I wasn't focused on a healthier lifestyle. And that's a GREAT non scale victory! :)

Hope you know that when you have a "bad" day - think about the good things that you have been doing and remember that you are human and that this is a journey...not a race. Let it go and then move on to a better day tomorrow!

(And just to throw something in...GO PACK GO!!!)

I had never thought of it that way!! And what a great realisation to make!
  • These are the kind of revelations that keep me going, even on days where I think I've done badly. In the big picture, things are much healthier today than they were several months ago! Thanks for the reminder!!!

That is awesome! Good for you!! Just imagine you're putting nearly 75% less crap in your body every day even on your "bad" days! It is tough not to feel guilty about a small challenge or fail and let it ruin your whole days worth of focused eating and exercising. In the 'old days' I used to do that and just right off the entire day, but that would only make things worse!
