Weight Watchers ...Don't bother to complain!!

Recently I joined a WW meeting and was completely ignored by the leader. It was only a small group and each person was singled out for a few comments except myself.
At the first meeting the leader suddenly piped up to the rest of the group that (and I quote) "Amyllu will now go home and eat all her extra 49 points!" (unquote) I was really annoyed and said that as I had been on an 800 calorie diet for the past few weeks that it was not my intention at all!
The second meeting she took the time to speak to each new member individually, 4 of them, and then the rest of the group apart from myself. A man who was a gold member was there and after saying that he had lost 37lb I decided to add that I had lost over 30lb before joining WW but that was completely ignored as well.
I complained to WW head office and so far have had little to no reply aprt from insisting that helpers are not employed by them ..as if that has anything to do with it!
The fact is that they continue to rake in the cash and do not bother whether you are satisfied or not...Typical of these big business moguls...

Wow. That is really sad! What a female dog! PM me some of your info, my best friends mom in law is high up at WW, Florine was at her wedding last month LOL.. That behavior is unacceptable and VERY discouraging to say the least. I used WW a few years ago and lost 30 pounds. it does work. Maybe find another meeting because she sucks.0

I went to WW a few years ago, and eventually stopped going to the meetings, just showed up to weigh in, because the leader was terrible. I'm back to doing it, but strictly online now
MFP works very well for me for maintaining my weight, but I still need to lose 25-30 more. For some reason, WW works better for me for losing weight.0 -
I hated WW. I know many have had success on it and thats great. I on the other hand despised the whole process. Also our instructor was a 60 year old women that was skinny as a rail and came in smelling of cigaretts every meeting. What a role madel. I lasted 6 weeks and found MFP and love it here.0

Hi Kerri, Thanks for the concern but can only add that apart from what I have already said, I have yet to hear from either the leader of this group or anyone else.
I am determined to get my money back as being disabled I am not in a position to go to another meeting as with most in this area would require parking my car and having a bit of a walk to the venue, which I am not able to do.
The fact is that there are soo many people who join, are not happy with it and then just leave, without expressing their opinion to anyone and these companies end up with a whole lot of our money for zilch!! In my case it is a matter of aproximately £21... anyone like yourself, that would be multiplied by 6 at least!
I have made this point on two other forums and the same response is quite amazing.
Why do people put up with shoddy service whilst paying thro' the nose for it?!
And as for the young girl who was in charge of the products table..I still consider that there is a legal situation that should be adhered to and I shall continue to follow this up also.:devil:0 -
I eat WW food but I don't go to the meetings, lost 66 lbs all by myself, with the help of myfitnesspal calorie counter for FREE!0

I have done WW before and have had nothing but good experiences. The only thing I can say is that you need to find a leader/meeting that works for you. You have to "shop" around a little to find your right fit. Not every leader is good for every WW member. You need to find one that you connect with.
As far as the leader ignoring you, it's hard sometimes to know what each member needs. Some WW members want to just sit in a meeting and not be singled out. Some WW members hijack the whole meeting and don't shut up about themselves.
Don't give up just yet. I think the WW program really helps you learn that it's a lifestyle, not a diet. Give WW another chance and try a different meeting.0 -

Just to reiterate..I actually don't want to go to another meeting for the reason I have stated.
Also, the group had only about fifteen (15) members there so it was not impossible to be incluided in the discussions especially as I have already said, she had made a point of speaking to EVERYONE else who was there! Plus the fact that when I did make a point of the fact that I had already lost almost the amount that this gold member had lost I was completely ignored once again as you will see in my first posting.0
