Ok my friends I have been doing the Greek yogurt thing the last two days. I have chobani Greek plain non fat...and to sweeten it I am using stevia. I am usually not a great fan of yogurt because of texture but is isn't too bad. My question to you all is:
do you eat yogurt?
What brand?
What flavor?
And what if anything do you add to it?
- just looking for suggestions, THANKS!

Any organic brand in my protein shakes, yum.

    Smooths them out nicely.

I LOVE Greek Yogurt! Chobani is the best. My two favorites are the pineapple and the blueberry. Their strawberry is good as well! The texture and flavor of greek yogurt is totally different then regular yogurt because they strain it more. Enjoy!

I like Dannon Oikios the best all the flavors, its not quiet as tangy as some of the others I have tried, Chobani is my next fav, the black cherry is really good!!

I usually eat Yoplait light yogurt, but I really love Brown Cow cream on top yogurt. I'll have to try Greek yogurt.

I only like vanilla yogurt, and if someone gives it to me, I'll eat yoplait strawberry or something. but now I only eat Dannon Vanilla Greek non-fat yogurt, tastes good already so I add nothing. Plain Yogurt is disgusting, more power to you :)
  • I LOVE greek yogurt! Chobani flavored yogurts are so good as well. You should try Kefir. Preferably the flavored ones also. The plain is a little too sour. It's like crack!
  • I'm into Greek yogurt as well
    love the texture
    plain is good ;)
i add a little honey or berries or diced fruit ex. pears or cantaloupe
but i hope to be able to switch to stevia
as soon as i get used to it

watch out for the flavored Greek yogurt because it high sugar and low protein

I eat activia light. I use to have light and fit dannon yogurt but i found that when i open them i dont eat the whole thing so i go with activia and its only 70 calories. I like to go with yogurts that dont have too many calories
  • Greek yogurt is awesome-- so much more protein than regular yogurt! I buy the large tub of Fage (pronounced Fa-Yeh), plain, non-fat, and I like to add a little bit of agave nectar. Agave nectar is sweet but lower on the glycemic scale than honey. It is also easier to stir in... I usually add something crunchy, too, like bran buds or granola.

I'm not a real dairy fan in general, but I use about 2 tbsp of Dannon nonfat greek yogurt in my oatmeal for breakfast.

I love the honey flavored Greek yogurt. According to my Dr it is a healthier alternative to whey protein.

i buy the Kroger brand or Yoplait..its cheap

I put it in my protein shakes, or i use it in place of mayo in my sandwiches. But I normally eat it for my mid a.m. snack with a scoop of protien powder in it. I stay away from the fruit or flavored yogurts because of the high sugar content

I'm not real picky about greek yogurt - I like most of it. Yoplait Greek is kind of chalky- blech!

Chobani is really good. Watch out for Dannon/Oikos - the "blended" variety is much higher in calories than the "fruit on the bottom" kind.
  • Hi !
I love yogurt, I try to eat it at least once a day and Greek yogurt is my go to post-workout food.
I tried Greek yogurt about two months ago and loved it - the best part is it's packed with protein !
I personally love the Chobani brand. However, some of the flavors they offer, for example: strawberry banana, mango, and some other have some fat in it. Most don't though so read the nutrition labels.
My favorite kinds are Chobani strawberry, honey, vanilla, blueberry and raspberry.

If you're getting bored of plain add a teaspoon of cinnamon to your yogurt, or a little bit of honey!

    -Katie
  • I eat it basically every day. I get the organic plain oikos and add stuff...vanilla flavoring, cinnamon and, depending on my calories/nutritional values for a given day, add berries, fruit, granola, nuts. Use it as a mini-meal mid-afternoon.

greek yogurts great but generally any yogurt is good with me as long as it is low in fat and sugar, but I try not to have slimmers sugar as its not really natural I love it with fresh raspberries or blueberries

I love Greek yogurt. I am in Canada so I buy Librerte fat free plain. I do love most of the flavors but they add so much sugar. So I usually buy plain and add my own fruit and/ or sweeten with either honey or agave nector.

I have a hard time with yogurt, too. I tend to like Breyer's, Dannon, and Activia. I can only do the full fat versions because I feel sick eating the low fat ones. (They add things to it.) I did try the Chobani Black Cherry yogurt and thought that was quite good. I had another brand once that made me swear never to go Greek again, but I relented. Trader Joe's has a squeezable organic yogurt. That one is very tasty! If you pop it in the freezer, it makes a nice frozen treat, too! I would say this one is my favorite.
  • I like the Fage Greek Yogurt Plain. I take fresh blueberries with alittle water and warm them up on the stove. Just enough that the natural sugars open up. Once cooled I add the berries & the natural syrup to my yogurt. YUM

I use plain greek yogurt in place of sour cream for ranch dressing and for stroganoff.

I like the honey vanilla flavor in smoothies with strawberries, mango and pineapple.
  • I literally just finished the Yo Greek brand blueberry and granola yogurt and I LOVED it! I had the vanilla one before and I wasn't such a fan. I think that the vanilla is lacking flavor in that brand. I am an avid yogurt eater and find that the regular yogurts are pretty much all very similar in texture and flavor but with the Greek yogurt, it varies totally. You would probably have luck if you just keep tyring different ones until you find the one you LOVE.
  • Love any of the Chobani non-fat varieties except plain. I would only use plan in recipies or smoothlies were I'm adding in my own fruit/flavor.

I used to only eat non-fat Yoplait 100 calorie options but after having greek for awhile it tasted HORRIBLE!!!!! No contest. It is all Greek for me!

(FYI - I tried the Dannon Oikos fruit on the bottom flavors and I didn't like them as well. Not bad and less money but I much prefer Chobani...sorry John Stamos  )

A second for plain Fage in the 4 cup tub. I buy the 0%. I usually eat it with just a packet of Splenda, but someone turned me on to adding 1/2 scoop of vanilla protein powder, too. Yum!

I also add some granulated onion and garlic and a pinch of salt and use it as a dip. It's great in or on anything that calls for sour cream, on top of baked potatoes and Mexican food.
