So I hurt my leg. I am not exercising till I see a Physical Therapist and have a conversation. But my leg is seriously swollen, I also weighed 3-6lbs more this morning than I had been. Can my swollen leg be making me weigh more?

It could be water weight from the swelling in the leg. :flowerforyou: Bummer. Be well.

A muscle strain? Have you seen your primary physican who has recommended a physical therapist? Are you taking any meds for it? If you are not exercising and have been working out alot, this together with some meds may have that affect. Are you close to getting your period and just experiencing that normal weight gain? You may want to do some upper body strength training while the leg heals just to stay in the "habit" of exercising.

I fell as a result of a weak ankle. I torn some ligiments around X-mas last year and it never fully regained it's strength. I went to get out of bed yesterday morning and my ankle decided it didn't want to hold the weight. I fell on the leg and injured it. Nothing overly dramatic. I have come to the conclusion that the Physical Therapy they have been recommended, yeah it is past time I went it did that, doesn't matter if I can afford it, one should not fall getting out of bed at the age of 23. I hope I can do low impact like recumbant bike, but I am seeing the doctor and physical therapist Monday, so no working out till I have talked to them. I was just hoping that the extra weight came from the leg.

Oh and no meds, other than my usual birth control, asthma pump as needed, and yesterday Tylonel for the pain.

Yes. It's probably swelling. Try ibuprofen for the pain, it also reduces inflammation. And that is not a weird question. What brand of shower curtain is best to wrap a body in? That's a weird question.

When my legs were hurting it was between the foot & the knee someone told me it was shin splints...they were right.

I am seeing my doctor I know exactly what made it swell, 190lbs of me fell on it. No one is worried about vascular (including my doctor). I wasn't trying to figure out what was wrong, I only wanted to know if it could account for the extra weight.

What brand of shower curtain is best to wrap a body in?

I would think a plain vinyl one, say one of the $2.99 ones from Bed Bath and Beyond. I would stay away from fancy Pottery Barn fabric shower curtains. A rug might actually work better.

Not that I've gievn this much thought.
