Oh girls, my OH has suggested that we get take out tonight from my favourite chinese resturaunt. My usual would be the crispy shredded chicken with salt and chilli with fried rice. (The chicken is battered). How many cals do you think would be in that dish?? I have around 600 left for today too..

Here is the link to the resturaunt.. http://www.feisgarden.com/page2.htm

All I can say is that my son and I got Chinese last night. I had 2 shrimp egg rolls with duck sauce and 2 fortune cookies. Holy moley! 694 calories! Won't be doing that again soon. I'm thinking vegetable lo-mein or vegetable mu-shu would be better choices. Anybody have any ideas about those two?
  • What about small portions?
Or just having the simple but nice fried noodles with chicken, beef or pork.
    Its a lot less calories.
Research it, on the food diary calorie counter.
I am sure your be fine, lessen tomorrows intake or do some exercise.
Have fun is all i say!

You could get steamed brown rice and steamed shrimp with vegetables with the sauce on the side. It's really good but use the sauce sparingly. It's low in calories and high in protein; you'll feel really satisfied. I know it won't taste quite the same of the favorites but really well worth it. Have fun!

Another quick question.. Does spicy food get burned off quicker? I thought I read/heard that somewhere...

I also heard that spicy food up's your metabolism but I have NO idea if it's true or not. But if Chinese food is so fatty and high in calories - why the heck are Chinese/Japanese people so darn skinny?? (for the most part??)

If I were you I would save the take out for another day. 600 calores does not give you much chinese food. Or.... you could exercise like crazy until dinner time. hehe.
