Coming off Slow - NEED SUPPORT!

My 'lifestyle' change has been going on for 1 month now. Usually when I "diet" I will eat around 500-800 calories a day and lose about 25 pounds in a little over a month. I KNOW I KNOW THAT IS AWFUL!!! I am not doing that this time or ever again. I am determined to lose weight the healthy way and to keep it off forever. It is just so frustrating to watch the pounds go away so slowly. I have lost 7.8 pounds in the last month and I have been busting my butt for every pound of those 7.8 pounds. I am starting to get discouraged because I want to see results. My jeans are still too tight - I am still so tempted by junk. I am just feeling impatient I guess. I have been about 30-40 pounds overweight for so long. I am not this person. I am a healthy person stuck in an overweight body. UGH! It is so hard breaking bad habits - starvation then binging starvation then binging. I seriously am crying right now out of anger and frustration that this is so hard for me. It is just food - why is this so hard? I just need some support - positive words!

That's nearly 2 pound a week - anything faster is never going to be sustainable - as you've discovered.
It may seem slow but if you keep going, you WILL get there.
I started in January at 202 pounds and now I'm 156 pound and almost at my goal.
Try not to spend all your time dwelling on the big picture goal, set some action goals like:
    - healthy breakfast every day
    - plan healthy snacks instead of sugary snacks for x days
    - exercise goals - walk or run, do a DVD, whatever you like to do.
These small goals are easier to acheive and teach you good habits for the long term.
