How are you all doing???? I am doing good!! I want something else that tracks my calories burned during a workout besides the treadmill telling me...... Is there a watch I can buy online that can also tell me how many calories I've burned? If so, I can also wear it to walk or run outside the house and keep track. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Try a heart rate monitor. They are pricey, but worth it in my opinion.0
-
Google Heart Rate Monitors. Lots of good ones that work with a strap around your chest and a watch you wear to receive and record the data.0

I've got a garmin heart rate monitor/GPS that does a great job. I have a foot pod so that it works both inside and outside. I couldn't do without it!0

There are a number of HRM's (heart rate monitors) out there. I have a Polaris, and I love it. Cost varies $100 - $180. It monitors everything I do (If I want).0

Heart rate monitor. They're definitely not cheap, and I haven't had the money to spend on one yet, but from what I've heard, they're fabulous.0

I have the Polar FT7, men's version. It's awesome, but yea...not cheap.0 -
I just bought this one a love it so far! It keeps track of your heart rate, how long you've worked out and how many calories you've burned.

Like everyone else, I'm going to recommend a heart rate monitor. Just be sure to spend the money to get one with a chest strap. The ones that are just watches aren't as reliable. I have a Polar F6 and I LOVE it!0

I just got my Heart Rate Monitor yesterday and I love it: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004RQWYDO0

I have a Polar FT40 heart rate monitor and use it with every workout! I would never workout without it! I tells you your calories burned. Make sure (if you get one) that it has a chest strap. The ones without one are not that accurate.0

This is the one that I have and I have been very happy with it. Very easy to use. My biggest problem has only been pressing the start button before i start my workout. LOL! I am not sure how accurate it is, but I use it as a guide not as a precise measurement.
I paid abut $35 for it.0 -
I have the Polar FT4 and its great and under $1000

I have a Polar FT40 and love it! Don't know how I do without it now.0

Check your local "used" stuff websites. I just bought a brand new Polar Fit for $75 (retails for about $130). There are also some Timex HRMs on Amazon for under $500

I have a Polar Ft4 I purchased for 80 bucks.... Love it!!0

Don't rely on HRM's during lifting workouts. Since HRM's use heart rate as a measure for calorie burn, a raised heart rate from lifting doesn't burn the same amount of calories as a raised heart rate from doing cardio.0

Polar is the way to go.. either the FT4 or the FT7.
Stay far far away from Timex brand HRM's.. the calorie count on those is very over estimated!0 -
I use a pedometer that tells you your steps, how far that is in miles, also tells you how many calories you burned and fat grams burned I bought mine at amazon and it wasn't that expensive at all, it is an Omron brand It works great for me! good luck!

We both have the Mio. It's small, looks like a watch, and is fairly accurate (no chest strap necessary!) There is an aerobic instructor at work who borrowed mine and LOVED it...so if she endorses it, I'm all in. you can even get it in pink.
It was about $600 -
Wow, I didn't know sooo many ppl were going to reply. Thank you all for the suggestions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have a HRM waist strap, it's accurate but I hate it. I'm sweating & moving, I don't want something on my chest!!! lol. I really want a watch. Thanks everyone!!!!0

Heart Rate Monitor is the way to go. I have a New Balance one that I got at Target for 60 bucks. Its great and reasonable compared to ones at sporting goods stores and online that go from 100 and up.0

I have a HRM watch, I believe it is a timex, and it only cost about $37 at Walmart. It does not have a chest strap either. I also have a gowearfit by body media. The watch is only for during walking and such. The gowearfit is something you wear all day and it tells you how many steps you take, how many calories you burn and how long you lay in the bed and out of the time, how long you sleep. I got my gowearfit second hand from ebay. I really love it. The watch is okay too, but I really love the gowearfit.0

No, you do not want a watch.
If you want an accurate calorie count, then you need a chest strap.. I'm sorry. Watch only ones are not accurate in the slightest!0 -
Bump....I want one for Christmas0
