Earlier this week I had a craving for pumpkin brownies but to my surprise none of the grocery stores in my community had any on their shelves. I am thinking of using Fage Greek Yogurt. instead but I do not have a recipe. Do you have one you can share with me?

  • I bet you're not craving pumpkin - you're probably wanting some of the warm, sweet spices that go with pumpkin - You could possibly make one of your favorite brownie recipes but instead of cocoa, use flour and pumpkin pie spice; and sub some of the butter for your yogurt for that creamy texture.

Just a thought. I've never made pumpkin brownies so can't help you with a tried-and-true recipe; but I think adding yogurt to brownies or other baked goods is fantastic, and I love pumpkin pie spice in muffins or oatmeal.

You could even try making a single-serve oatmeal in the microwave with the yogurt for your "wet" ingredient (instead of water) and adding the spice, vanilla, raisins.... you wouldn't miss the pumpkin.

Autumn is almost here, and then we can stock up on it!! :)
