I have to take medication every day in a form of a drink. I have always and will always have to take it but I never counted it in weight watchers before.

This drink works out at 345 cals per day. I only joined two days ago and I added the drink into my daily food intake but now I am unsure as to whether to keep counting it or not.

What do you guys think I should do??

wow...that kind of stinks. There is no way you can make it for less calories? I would say you will have to count it...calories are calories...and if you are taking them in...you need to count them. :(

No, there is no way of reducing them unfortunetly..

When I was in WW they told me not to count it but they never gave me a reason..

I would agree that "calories are calories", so I would count them. Bummer, though - that's a good chunk of the days "allowed" calories. :frown:

    Wowza! :noway:

Is the medication "filling" or do you have to take it with food too?

Any way you can increase your exercise to help offset it? :flowerforyou:

Hi Realta good to see another Irish person here!! Congrats on your weightloss!!

The drink itself is not filling at all, I have to take it 3 times a day and it adds up to 345 cals. I recently changed the drink as the one before it was nearly 650 cals per day so the one I'm on is the best and its a huge drop!

In relation to exercise, I was in a car crash around 2 years ago and couldnt walk at all for 6 months so I am only getting back to walking for 20mins now and starting on the wii fit etc.. I have ordered the TurboJam dvd's and I hope my bid on ebay wins.. So I am trying to increase my exercise each day but its really hard!! I used to control my weight before the crash with exercise alone and that worked but now I suppose i'm that bit older and now 4 stone heavier (56lbs) that is really hard to shift :grumble:

I suppose the better way is to track it, least that way I know exactly where I am each day..

Oh that's really no good at all!
Unfortunately as everyone else says, calories are calories, and every last one counts.
I would add them as part of 3 meals a day, and try to find low calorie foods to eat - as a way to compensate.

OOff! Sorry to hear all that.

I guess the only thing I can suggest is to eat foods higher in protein so you're not feeling hungry in between meals.

Good luck with getting back in shape!
