So one person said they like Ripped in 30 more than 30 day shred. Anyone out there have both and can tell me which they prefer and why?

I like Ripped in 30 better because there is more variety in the exercises you do, and it's a more intense workout. I also think that the warmup is better.

I also prefer Ripped better then 30 DS because its alot more challening then 30DS, and JM has taken everything shes learned from doing previous dvds and incoparated in Ripped. Just the fact that you never do the same move more then one time during the whole for weeks is really nice, its comforting when youve just done a bunch of crow pushups that they are only in week 2.
And the tempo between the circuits is also higher and you really have to focus.

Waiting on ripped in 30 from the library then it's free for life, woo $10ish savings, LOL! I'll have to comment when I have an opinion, bumping for now.

hmm . . . I started with 30DS and then moved on to Ripped in 30- both have a level I hate (L2 for shred, L3 for ripped). Ripped moves faster because you are only on each level for a week, whereas its 10 days for shred. ripped is definately more intense though and in my opinion more apt for injury (that may just be me though). I don't think the warmup for ripped is as thorough either.

I am a 30DS Grad and currently cycling through a variety of workouts including Ripped in 30. While the moves in 30DS are 'easier' in a way, some become unbearable because you have to do them for so long. Ripped in 30 does an excellent job of avoiding this by keeping the workout going at a nonstop pace, changing up the moves about every 30 seconds in each of the 3-2-1 Circuits. Ripped definitely works you harder, but because I get bored easily, it's more fun for me to go through Ripped as opposed to 30DS.

  • is there a lot of jumping in both? i do lots of cardio and strength training but wanted a quick video i can do from home. i have tile floors and bad knees so i usually substitute jumping for squats.

is one geared towards beginners and the other towards advanced?
