Anyone out there at their goal weight or are working on those last ten pounds? Man oh man they are killer, especially since I'm trying to build muscle too. Any tips or suggestions?

I find not so much losing punds the problem, just extra fat I suppose. My stomach is just about the only place that carries weight - the majority of it anyway!
Eating "clean" is what helps me the most with that.0 -
caloric deficit...
and if you want to build muscle and lose fat at the same time you'd be looking at a recomp style plan, which is long and tedious, unless of course you're a beginner then it is a little easier0 -
For me, I really have to re visit what I really want, A specific number on the scale or looking hot. I choose looking hot so what I had to do (mind you I am only 2 weeks into this experient) put my calories to maintenance, reduce the cardio and add 3 x a week heavy strenght training. 2 weeks in, I pretty much stayed the same weight but lost 1 inch almost all over. Good luck0

I just lost my last ten lbs. The only thing that didit was doing speed work in my runs, and lowering my calorie intake. Which meant.... Not eating back my exercise calories!0

I'm struggling with them too. It's so frustrating sometimes because one day I'm down, and then the next day I'm back up there, and it seems the scale is something different everyday, but not ever sticking when it goes down. I think I've also "self diagnosed" myself with several ailments and deficiencies trying to find that magic thing I'm either eating or not eating that's preventing me losing the weight (The internet is a dangerous place, haha).
This week I'm trying to add more high intensity workouts to my routine and I lowered my weekly points slightly (from 1370 net to 1270 net). But I have to tell you, the following tool really helped put things in perspective for me.
http://www.healthyweightforum.org/eng/calculators/calories-required/
It's a calories needed to lose weight calculator, but it shows you realistic expectations in terms of how many calories you're eating verses how many weeks/months it will take to lose a certain amount of weight. If the calories are too low (under 1200) it shows them in yellow which means your time frame is a little unrealistic. i realized that it may take me 4/5 months to lose these last pounds, so I'm more just staying the course and kind of viewing this as a pre-maintenance period (at least we're not going up!).
AND, if you're only 10 pounds away, you probably look fantastic! So enjoy it and know that if you keep holding on the weight will eventually come off, and you'll be so used to your eating patterns, maintaining that weight will be that much easier once you get there. (at least, that's what I'm telling myself this week...haha)0
