Gradually Increase Calories

Options
I need to increase my calorie consumption by about 1000 calories.

How should I do this slowly to avoid weight gain?

Also my MFP recommendations for fat are 60g I never go over 35-40g

Is it ok to increase to 60g?

Thanks

I'm not sure about the fat amount but I would suggest increasing your intake by 100 cals per week to avoid weight gain. That seems like a huge amount that you need to increase!

Things you could do to increase cals.

Switch your milk from skimmed to semi-skimmed or full fat. Along with the extra calories you'll get extra nutrients too.

Add some nuts and seeds to your diet. High in healthy oils that will make your hair shine :) These also contain a nice amount of fibre and protein.

Drink a glass of juice every day. This is especially helpful if you're struggling to eat enough fruit and veg.

Can't see your diary, but you could also just try increasing your portion sizes on your healthy meals.

If you picked one of these things to do this week, then included another the next week, until you reach what you need to be eating, then you shouldn't gain weight, as the increase in calories would be gradual.
