So, I see all these challenges on here. Could someone please explain how this works. How do you access them to sign up? Where do you track them or see progress of the group, etc. I see people responding to "count me in" or "sign me up for a week in September" ...I am lost, what is this all about????

There are lots of them, and basically it's a way to motivate you to try something new or to challenge yourself beyond your comfort zone. I signed up for my first back in Feb and it was to run/walk 100 miles by Easter which was 10 weeks from then. There were other parts to it as well, but that's what drew me in. I tracked it and checked back to the board every day (or every other) and got to know some of the people there pretty well. Not only did I finish, I kicked butt in the 100 mile challenge and I've done more challenges with this group and really bonded with the people there.

It's strange thinking all my new "friends" are just people I've met online and all around the world (literally), but I wouldn't trade this community for anything right now! I know if I'm having a bad day I can vent to them and they'll understand in a way my family won't and they don't judge me! If you see a challenge that looks like fun, I'd say go for it!!!! I'm in the H2O group and we are in week 3 of another 10 week challenge, if you'd like to join us, please do!!!!

Unless the thread says "closed" you can sign up to join. Normally the thread will tell you how to track everything. Sometimes it is in a daily post to the thread or your signature. Read the first post in a couple and see what they tell you

Just to add that there aren't any rules about challenges - we just sort things out for ourselves as we do them. I'm in one called 'burn the belly' at the moment - you are welcome to join us (put 'burn the belly' in the search box and you will find us). With your normal exercise burn, you would be very motivating for us!
