So Is it really worth it? Thinking it's gonna help make you thinner? I'm trying to help you realize what your putting into your body. I've been a super health nut lately and I've been paying alot more attention to labels, food and other products in the home, and you know driving my husband nuts! lol I just feel like it's important to be good to our bodies, I mean we all want to be healthy right? So why ingest or use something that could give you cancer?(artificial sweeteners etc.) I guess after you loose people you know to such an evil thing you kinda get a little strange, but hey there is alot of crap in foods out there and some of it we don't know what it will do after long term use. All I'm saying is read up on stuff if you aren't sure about an ingredient you can't even pronounce or if your not sure what it is.
Also can't help but add a little something about cleaning products, it goes somewhere, it doesn't just dissapear when it goes down the drain or in the garbage (chemicals, plastic), and personal products, do your homework ie: aluminum crap in deodorant, also remember everything you put on your skin gets soaked up into your body and alot of things if you knew what they were you prob wouldn't want in there. I know its hard and easier to be ignorant but I can't be anymore. Thanks for reading.
ps: check out this website, it tells you the chemicals and toxicity levels in anything it has on file, brand of shampoo, make up, cleaning products etc. it's really great! Also I make my own deodorant and use vinegar alot to clean, if you are into this stuff please let me know or if you wanna know more, I don't know everything but I'll share what I do know. Thanks again.

Totally agree. I stopped using a lot of personal care products or replaced them with homemade or natural alternatives about a year ago. I read a book back then Slow Death by Rubber Duck about the chemicals we bathe ourselves in everyday, from soap to shower wash to shaving cream, cologne, moisturizers, hair care products, make up and then cleaning products. It started me on the road to learning about what's in the products we use and food we consume. Anyone planning or trying to have a baby should be aware of this as well as the additives and chemicals in processed and canned foods. Is this alarmist? Maybe seems so, but no one is looking out for you and the health of your family but you.

I hear ya! I've switched to some organic stuff like body wash shave gel etc, and I tell people to check that website too even if it says natural on the product it may still have a chemical or fragrance you don't want. It's tricky. And you have to be carefull and it's unfortunate that we can't trust things.0

thing like artificial sugars should be banned, there are not good research to begin with that they are safe to consume... and in some ppl, like myself , I have very strong reaction to splenda ( headache, bloating to name a few). remember margarine being healthier then a butter? I knew in my high school chemistry class that it should not be good for the body, just looking on the chemical structure of it. and nowadays it is "finally" trans fat that trans fat this. .... No, thank you, I will eat my real butter and sugar (glucose) if I really need to bake a cookie....0
