Feeling bored today and not wanting to work out? Try this cool fitness test I found in Self Magazine while at the hair salon. :blushing: Might just add some burned calories to your log today and it is kind of cool to see the results.
Test your level in each category.

Thanks, I'll have a go too later. But I don't understand the heart rate one - wouldn't a lower heart rate after a minute indicate better recovery and therfore better fitness?0

Good point. I have no idea. I wrote it from the magazine on the back of an envelop :blushing:0

No worries!
I'll do it later. Can we compare results?0 -
Sure! I am totally out of shape though. And here I thought I was getting better.
HR – 67
Cardio – 15 seconds
Upper body – 10 (barely!)
Core – 40 secs
I tried looking for this on Self Magazine’s website but I could not find it. Wanted to clarify the Heart Rate one.
How did everyone else do?0 -
Ok, so I expanded my search to the we, and according to this it was in Fitness Magazine not Self.....oopsy!
It also apears I left out some key info on the Heart Rate one.
The good news is the entire test is here if anyone is interested and wants to burn some cals today.

I'm so sorry - I completely forgot to do it yesterday, but will definitely give it a go this evening (I'm in the UK, so this evening is actually very soon!). I'll let you know the outcome later, I promise!
It looks really interesting, so I'm going to share it with some other MFP people on another thread (a challenge I'm involved in).
So many thanks for this. :flowerforyou:0 -
I just did the whole test, and I am proud to say I got 30 points! Yay! :drinker:
I really struggled on the push-ups (my arms are definitely not strong) and I wasn't so hot on the trunk rotation, but otherwise I was OK. All credit to Jillian Michaels! :laugh:0 -
I'm dying to try this at my desk!!!!! :laugh:0
