Do you lose breast cup size?

I'm reading from various sites you can't lose your breasts but I'm noticing my breasts are getting slightly smaller. I mean it's nothing drastic (I'm a double-D) but it's leaning towards a D now. I've lost nearly 20 pounds and wanna know if you do and how you did it.

My bra size also decreased, going from a 42DD to what appears to be a 36D or 38D. I've lost 4 inches around my bust and 4 inches around my bra line.

I lost a whole cup size :( Breast tissue is fat so you can lose weight from there.
  • It was the first place that I started noticing weight loss. I was a D cup and I'm starting to go down towards a C

Someone just asked this question about 20 minutes ago. Great minds, huh?

Many people's breasts get smaller with weight loss.

Some do, some don't. I haven't. It depends on the physical make-up of your breasts. Some women's are more fatty, and some are more fibrous. If your boobs got bigger when you gained weight, they'll probably shrink when you lose it.
  • Boobs and but are always the first to go for me.
  • first place that i lose....

As my weight has moved down, my back size has changed, but my cup size hasn't really changed much. Sometimes it's a G, sometimes a GG, sometimes an F.... But always in the same ballpark (so to speak).
  • Yes, mine have gone down a bit. I'm actually quite glad about it because they would have had me toppling over now if they hadn't gone down proportionately. :)

you cant pick and choose where you lose weight from. Its just as likely to go from the places you want it to stay, as it is from any other places.
  • You will definitely lose breast size. I mean think about...as you gain weight your boobs get bigger (i went from about a C and half to a double DD) so why wouldn't they go back down?

I'm down to a 36C from a 38DD...it took about 5 months, but they shrank! Cardio & weighs (like chest press & fly's) are what I did!

Last time I lost weight I went from a DD to a C...my issue was that they were "flat" I could not find a bra that would make them nice and round again....I told myself that if I lose the weight and keep it off for a year I am gonna get a lift cause beaver tails are just so unattractive.

Hahaha @ "Beaver tails" I knew a girl like that, and she had never even been heavy!

i've never heard that you couldn't lose it. Thats always the first place i lose from and I include it in my measurements, just this week i lost an inch from the fullest part of my bust line. I have ''skinny bras'' and ''fat bras'' because when I start losing I will lose at least a cup size pretty quickly.....unfortunatley!

When I drop weight thats the first thing to go for me! I once went from a D to a B cup when I lost 75lbs.

And this is why breast implants are so popular, right? :grumble: .... I have always been small busted... nothing to brag about here, so when I lost weight, the back fat and my torso is what got smaller. To my surprise, the cup size stayed the same..... until most recently. :ohwell: ... but it is no where a cup size. I don't have a cup to spare...

Correct me if I am wrong... and this may not be your goal, but isn't a bust reduction beneficial to your back health? Plus, if you get into a more conventional bra size, you have more options.... sexier, prettier options..... and wearing a V-neck is no longer like a 'low-cut' shirt. I don't know, but it may be barely noticeable to the outside world and you get all the benefits! Consider it a bonus.

I'm having the slowest loss in my breasts--and I'd love for them to be smaller. For me it seems I had to lose 20lbs before I could wear a smaller bra. I have another friend who's lost less weight than I have and her breasts got much smaller faster. We're all different. It seems like I've always had to wear bigger size tops than bottoms just because of my breasts.

    Bee,
Breast tissue is composed of fat tissues, so if your losing weight(fat)u will lose some inches. I lost 2.5 and I was only 36.5 inches. I have lost 4% body fat in the last 9 months!!! So Yes u will lose some fat in the breast area. Be sure you are working your chest and back muscles to support what you do have.
    Hope this helps.

Lost about 20 lbs to date and have gone from a full C to probably an A. I should really go get new bras....

I have lost 19 lbs...and my bras were too big so I went in to VS to be fitted...I went from a 36 D (or C?) to a 34 D. Yeah. Weird. I can totally see that I've lost bbs...but maybe they do their sizes different. Although the fitter said that a 36 C has the same cup size as a 34 D (so maybe my old bras were D cup...).

i started as an A/B cup when i was younger and when i got pregnant, i was a 42DDD. i lost a little after the birth of my daughter, but they pretty much stayed the same until the past couple of weeks. but i don't mind losing them...they are heavy!!!

I have lost 18lbs and went from a 32DD to a 32d or c. Im not happy because the smaller around you are the smaller cup size (36dd way bigger than 32dd). Im getting my boobs done when im at my goal weight since im done having kids. :)

yup. they're smaller now, but I'm kind of happy about it. Less annoying.
