Gertrude’s Nose Hike in Minnewaska and Hiking Tips

Anyone ever hike Gertrude’s Nose Hike in Minnewaska???How'd you like it?? I'm planning on hiking it next Sunday and I'm fairly new to the hiking experience! I was going to buy new hiking boots but I've been told that I shouldnt try to break them in for the first hike or I'm going to end up with blisters? Is that true? Other then that I'm just looking for some hiking tips from experienced hikers! The hike is 5 total Miles, the accumulative Elevation Gain is 600 feet, and its a pretty clear path nothing too intense. I'm so excited! :bigsmile:

    I have a pair of trail shoes from Merrell that I adore! They did not require any break in. Trust me, great shoes make the difference!
