Foot Question - NOT A RUNNER

Hey people. I have a question, since I've been losing weight I feel like every pair of shoes I own is so uncomfortable now. And I don't understand if it's due to losing or not. I've always varied from a 8-9 in womens, but all the footwear I have now that used to be comfortable isn't. I don't run so that can't be attributed to it either.

Has anyone encountered this? If you did, how do you find comfy shoes now?

Every pound is felt by our feet, so I definitely thinking our weight can make a difference in how shoes feel. Also, if your feet were swelling before and your shoes were stretched out, they may have become loose fitting and uncomfortable. I'm the worlds worst at not wanting to part with a cute pair of shoes, (narrow feet and costly to find shoes that fit) and once they begin to hurt my feet, I know its time to get rid of them.

Feet lose weight too. My sandals have been loose and falling off all summer. Been pretty annoying, but also rewarding to be losing weight.

I decided to get a nice pair of running shoes (even though I don't run) for walking and exercise. I did some research on my pronation type and found a pair that are Neutral that cushion my under-pronation and high arches. Been well worth the money.

Zappos is great for doing research and searches. RunningWarehouse.com is good for prices. Or go to your local runners shoe store and they will put you on a treadmill and analyze your stride and put you in a great (and comfy) pair that fit you perfectly.

Zappos is excellent, free shipping on orders and on returns, so you can order different sizes and try them out in the comfort of your own home. Customer ratings are accurate as well with items I have ordered.

Thanks for the advice. I just didn't think it would be such a difference!
