Wow, I did a 9/11 Heros 5K at Ellington Air Force base, and it was amazing. IT benefitted the Travis Manion Foundation. Every branch of the armed forces were there, along with Houston Police & Fire Departments, along with state troopers, constables, just every one who protects & serves. I ran behind the Marine Corp. It was absolutely the perfect way to remember those we lost on 9/11, and for me to get back in the running scene. Something inside me changed today. I haven't run a 5k in 20 years. I ran a 31:51, the worst time of my life, but I feel so confident. I know I can lose the other 30 pounds!

Got the goose bumps when I read your post. Congrats on running the 5k and keep on running! I find that it's probably one of the most effective ways to drop lbs. Lisa from California
