Does anyone have tips about what kinds of workouts are best when trying to lose weight?

    all of them. learning to eat right is most important, and you need to figure out what exercises you enjoy most. i hate running, but i love cycling!!! easy on your joints, and you cover more ground then running!

    You need to do a mix of cardio and strength training. Cardio burns calories in large doses and also gets your cardiovascular system in better shape. This is the type of workout that makes you "fit" as it were. Strength training is just as important. You don't have to bulk up, but toning your muscles will create additional muscle and additional muscle mass will help to elevate your metabolic rate. Additionally, toning your muscles will improve your performance in cardio exercises.
