So ready to pitch the scale

Darn scale is stuck!! I feel like everything is in slow motion now. I keep telling myself its just the strength training and extra workouts lately, but it's still frustrating. Makes it hard to keep pushing when I'm not seeing the results I'd like to. Gah!!
Ok, I"m done ranting! I'll pick it up again in the morning and keep plowing through. . .Scale still may take a trip out the window!

Don't pitch it.............but don't put a lot of weight into it......lol.............what I mean is this.............last month I lose only 2 pounds...........FORTUNATELY, i took my measurements the Aug 8. Yesterday I decided to take them again..........from what I wrote down Aug 8, during thatmonth, I lost 3 inches off my hips and 3.5 off my waist. I can't remember the rest..........so with only 2 lbs gone but 6.5 inches!!!! I'd rather have that then 6.5 lbs gone and only 2 inches......unbelieveable how that works to lose so many inches and so few pounds..........but i'm taking my measurements each month now.
So....don't put too much weight into your scale reading.....grab a tape measure as well. amazing!0 -
As frustrating as it is, dont give up! We all have days/weeks like this but it will get better.0

I started out on this 7 weeks ago and have only lost 6lb (I know my ticker says 3 but I initially gave the wrong measurements when converting from stones to lbs). It was depressing at first as I was working so hard and was used to seeing 4lbs loss in the first week and at least a stone in a month. But this time it was so slow!!! Then I spoke to a personal trainer and it was made clear that I need to measure myself as I'm doing so much exercise that I'm building muscle, and not rely only on the scales. I did that and have noticed a big difference in my measurements in the last month and everyone is starting to comment that I look a lot thinner. I've decided today to ditch the scales for a bit.....you should too! Lets see how we get on?!0

Too often we become obsessed with the scales. I definitely am feeling a positive difference in the fit of my clothing, and while I've 'only' lost 3 pounds, I feel a lot slimmer than that, so stay positive and as a general rule of thumb, only weigh yourself once a week, daily weighing contributes to unhappiness as our weight fluctuates day to day0

Thanks for all the encouragement and motivation. I'm only weighing in once a week, and down about .6lb in the last month. Makes me wanna throw in the towel somedays. I do enjoy being more active now though, have to force myself to have my rest day once a week. Perseverance is what it's all about right?!!0

I'm right there with you! I haven't lost anything so far in September. It does make it hard to keep pushing then I remind myself...but wait...I have lost 25lbs... don't want to gain those back. So even if I don't lose (which we know the weight will start to come off again) I have to keep track and pay attention to what I eat because I don't want to gain.0

i'm thinking about giving my scale a little vacation OR bringing in a younger, more attractive scale to give my old scale a run for his money... LOL...0
