At the risk of being facetious, turn off the TV and concentrate on your workout. 30 mins intensive will do you far more good than 1hr plodding.0

I got a cross trainer recently (or Elliptical trainer as they are sometimes known).
I alternate between watching the tv and then having my ipod on to keep it different. I think it is a good idea to have the tv on, especially if you aren't used to exercising, makes it easier to start with.
Some equipment costs a lot of money but you can get exercise bikes fairly cheap especially secondhand. Ever considered exercise DVDs?0 -
i have one of the Elliptical trainers. I have a tv set up in front and watch my favorite tv show.
I am talking about doing light workouts while watching tv. Sometimes i find i need to change it up.0 -

Walk in place, get a little trampoline and jump on it for cardio.
For strength, free weights, balance ball, stretchy bands.0
