green smoothie thats not green

Personally I love making green smoothies and I don't care what color it is (even a murkey gray if you add blueberries), but for those that might want to add more oopmph to their shakes without turning them green, consider an avocado! I went to make myself a green smoothie tonight and realized the last of my spinach went bad, but the avocado I had bought the other day was finally ripe. I wasn't sure how well it would work, but I made a smoothie using 1/2 c. skim milk mixed w/ 1/2 c water, a nectarine, sliced mango, and 1/4 of an avocado and it turned out really yummy and thick and creamy, and not at all green.

    Love avocado smoothies! I like the combination you have used but I also like a slightly more indulgent smoothie with avocado and some coconut yoghurt (obviously not for everyday). Avocado is also really good for you :)
