This is a werid NSV but I am so happy this morning.

I have been on and off MIA for the last couple weeks. I started fall semster and my courses are ridiculously intense as I am so close to graduating and also applying to grad school now.. My boyfriend/fiance started his fall semester and is offically in his program of clinicals and instern and gone now like fulltime. This is a huge change as I have been in classes during the day the last two years and he has gone in the evening. Now I am home in the day. Also my child started school 3rd grade at a brand new school and my baby is really now a crazy toddler.

I am so gratefull to all my classes about the body and how it works because I have reset my set point. 25 lbs ago I could easily put on 5 lbs from a week and a half of crappy eating. Right after I lost the 25 lbs It was even easier as my body was trying to regain the weight I had lost cause it was what my body was used to weighing more. So in the last month I haven't lost a ton but I have maintained around the same 2 to 3 lbs.

Okay here is my NSV. My boyfriends b-day was in the last couple days, and he is 6'5" and thin and can eat whatever he wants. For his b-day he wanted chinese and then for his b-day I made him breakfast in bed and he got the works. Almost a buffet. I wouldn't say that I stuffed my face but I ate what I wanted in much smaller portions.

So in this last week of not eating great I avoided the scale, a fear is to regain a significant amount a weight I lost (not a lb hear and there of flucuation). And I did it this morning. I gained 1 lb.

Just one. I am so happy because I know I need to be careful always but I feel like I maintained and my body has reset it set-point. now I can restart to lose weight again.

Yippee

That is really good, to know you can start over!
  • Great job. I can't wait to get to that point. I have exercised every single day for 6 days and have not lost even one pound. I am praying for something to happen soon and trying not to get discouraged. I am happy for you though...good things:)
