Hey folks. I'm a guy who used to use MFP several years ago, and it worked really well then. I was at school with a gym across the street, I had to walk between classes anyway, and I joined a martial arts class to help. It worked really well and I lost around twenty pounds.
Then I switched environments and all that work collapsed. The weight came back and brought friends. I've been working to get back down to that weight, but every time I move to a new place (which happens roughly every three to six months) it seems like I am reset to zero. I just came back to school again, and I have gained back fifteen pounds in the last four weeks. It's a little ridiculous.
But I'm a determined kind of guy. The good thing is that I've pretty much got it down to a science at this point. I know my weaknesses and my soft spots, and how to avoid them.
My biggest problem (and I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir) is with self-control. I eat when I'm bored, you know? But I have found in the past that MFP does wonders simply by forcing me to fess up to everything I ate casually that day.
So I'm ready for Round 5(ish). Let's do this thing.
