I just got a sales promotion from K-Mart, and they have a lot of heart rate monitors that are on sale for less than $30. They aren't Polars, but for the price, they may be a great starter HRM for those who want one but can't spring for the more expensive ones right now...I'm pasting the links for the ones I saw...hopefully this will help someone! Also, even if you're not looking for an HRM, there are a lot of other fitness products on sale at KMart right now too...

Thanks for the info! :flowerforyou: I am looking for something that will tell me my pace. Any ideas on deals for watches that do that. I think that they have to have a GPS.

Bunny, yes, those are gps hrm's. I've been looking at them and on amazon.com the garmin forerunner 305 isabout $170--which is cheaper than it's lesser sister the 205. In case you're interested!

or there is always distance divided by time.....if you can track the distance......I guess that would be the GPS, but it would be cheaper to run with a $20 pedometer, then use the distance and time calculation.
