canned fruit calories

I was wondering if anyone knows If the calorie count in canned fruit includes the juice that it is packed in? Would you get less calories then listed if you strain out the fruit, and not drink the juice, or does" the can" assume that you strain it and only include the fruit itself in its calorie count????

I believe the label assumes the juice as part of the weight, weird because i don't know anyone who drinks that! LOL
you could search the database for example: fruit cocktail, drained. and see what happens
we know draining and rinsing diminishes calories....just don't know how much?
Good luck!0 -
