I need help eating really well for Breakfast, lunch, and snacks because my dinners are bad. I have a family of picky eaters so I have high calorie dinners. So if anyone has any good breakfast, lunch, and snack ideas I would appreciate it. Also some good dinner ones would be great.
Also I am a picky eater too, so I need simple meals.

For breakfast I usually have a packet of oatmeal with some ground flax seed in it. It is about 200 calories and keeps me full until lunch time. At lunch I usually have a Lean Cuisine which averages 200-300 calories. For a snack I'll have a Fiber One bar which is 140 calories, and it will usually keep me full until dinner. More than limiting yourself throughout the day to "save up" for a big dinner though, I would start looking at the dinners you are eating and find a way to lessen the calories you are eating at dinner time. You can make easy swaps that will save you some calories and that will be healthier. Are you the primary food preparer in your home? Do you have young children that are the picky eaters? You might want to try to pick up Jerry Seinfeld's wife's book (I think it's called Deceptively Delicious)...it's all about hiding vegetables in meals to make them healthier without your kids knowing that they are eating veggies.0

Thanks for the help!! I have a picky son and hubby!! My youngest one eats pretty good. I am just so used to prepacked foods for dinner, so I need some things to cook that is not from a box.0

I would definitely look into finding a really good cookbook. Go to the bookstore, pick up a few cookbooks, then go sit in the cafe and have a hot tea or a light coffee while you really look through the cookbooks and see which one(s) will work best for your family. No use buying a cookbook if you're only going to use one recipe. There are also a lot of good recipes in the Recipe board on MFP, and a lot of moms with picky eaters have made the recipes and have commented on how they went over. The slow cooker salsa chicken is a really good recipe, really low calorie, and very healthy...and I think it's one that has been approved by picky eaters. Just try some new recipes, maybe just one new, fresh (not from a box) recipe a week, and if it goes over well, start a recipe box of things that your family really loves. Soon you should have a whole treasure trove of go-to recipes that your family enjoys! Good luck!0
