My coworkers think I'm insane because I "hoard" food in my desk. Currently I have:

A box of variety oatmeal packages
5 small cans of flavoured tuna
Rice crackers
Whey protien powder
Tuna and cracker packages
A rice crispy square
Sunflower seeds
Assorted tea packages
Apple Cider mix
Peanut butter

What food items are in your desk??

Office food hoarder here! I even have a mini-fridge under my desk so I don't have to put my food in the nasty communal frige!

    Hummus
    Steel Cut Oats
    Agave Nectar
    Green Tea
    Apples
    Grapes
    Bagels

I keep nothing more than the same day's lunch.
I don't know you, but in my 25 odd years of working, I have noticed that the heaviest people in the office are never too far from food.
I know two people that are skinny and have a ton of food, but they are the exception(and Japanese).

    lol!

I keep things in my locker (nursing student here..) mostly tea bags and coffee. Sometimes I find that drinking tea or coffee curbs my appetite. In my bag I usually keep raw almonds, and dessert flavoured gum. ;)

    Almonds
    TJ's Choc covered espresso beans
    Walnuts
    Various protein bars from TJs
Some form of either: popchips, popcorn, pita chips/reg and whole wheat, pirates booty . . .
Usually any type of snack from Trader Joe's that looks good @ the time.

But I try to not keep it at my desk for long. It gets too tempting that way. I love the fact that my office is small enough I can keep all my food in the kitchen and not have to worry about ppl taking it all.

LOL! That's because they're not active. I eat often because I am very active and if I didn't eat I would curl up into a ball on the floor and die.

Plus I have this handy little thing called will-power. My snacks are for days I forget my lunch etc. If I ate them all I would have no snacks in my desk.

Actually I find the opposite is true. The heavy people I know rarely eat, just when they do it is huge portions and junk. My fit thin active friends eat constantly.

None - I just bring my lunch for the day.

I work at a university, so if I must have a snack, I can always walk over to the campus snack shop or the a la carte dining hall. If I keep snacks in my desk, I eat mindlessly. I know lots of people do really well with lots of small meals/snacks. I do a lot better with three regular meals. Snacking is what gets me in trouble.

Honestly, I'd never 'hoard' food because I'd be more tempted to eat more. I go to college and I take my lunch in my bag, I wouldn't dream of taking anymore!

I wish we were coworkers. Then we can bum food off each other when we run out.

I try to always have on hand - whey, oats, sugar (yes, actual sugar *shrug*), canned tuna, mustard, sliced whole grain bread, and peanut butter. Sometimes I have sliced turkey breast too.

I also have snacks because I sometimes forget to bring lunch...I'd rather eat my granola or pistachios than order food.

Don't shrug. Actual sugar is better than that splenda chemical garbage. I have a package of "Sugar in the raw" in my desk. I think someone gave it to me. Who knows!! Might come in handy some day if my oatmeal is crap or something.

Yeah and if you don't... then too bad for you. Don't keep snacks in your desk and don't make assumptions about people who do.

I've got the will power problem - no matter what might be in the drawer, I'll develop an appetite/hunger to eat it!
