After the first six months

I heard on the radio today (I know, such reliable source of information right?) in an ad for some fitness program or supplement (Keep reading!) that your body adjusts and adapts to your new lifestyle after about 6 months.
This rang true with my experience. I found that I became less adverse to exercising and now that I'm 9 months in, I get antsy if I don't get to exercise. Same with the good eating habits. By the start of the summer which was around 6 months, my body didn't really want the unhealthy stuff my mind craved. I recall getting McNuggets thinking I've saved up calories for a treat. I think I ate 2 pieces and decided it used to taste better. I don't remember the last time I had pizza and I had a sampler piece at the store yesterday. It was tasty but I didn't want more than the sampler.
Anyway, I thought I'd share and let you know there is light at the end of the tunnel. I'm also curious if others have reached this point and if 6 months is an about average time.

I've been watching what I eat for about a month now, and I ended up eating a home grilled beef cheeseburger for dinner (I had the calories to consume since I burned off so many that day). It tasted wonderful, but it sat in my stomach so heavily that I felt like crap the rest of the night. I was a bit disappointed, because beef is my favorite food. lol0

I'm there and have been there for quite a while -- although not with the pizza thing cuz I really enjoy pizza and it's totally worth the calories to me... Not sure when it started happening but I'm currently 14 months into the process (9 months to get to goal of 55 pounds lost - at goal 5 months now). Think I'm finally eating like a "skinny" person and I LIKE it!!0

I think we all retain some of our "bad" habits and I don't think it's a bad thing. I still like potato chips but I ration it out by weighing out 1 oz ziploc baggies of them.0
