Polar FT60 or FT80 & straps

I am researching HRMs and have basically narrowed it down to the Polar FT60. I was debating between the FT60 and the FT80, however the FT80 has some pretty bad reviews on Amazon, so that kind of turned me off to it. The FT60 will probably be good for what I am looking for. Does anyone own either of these models? If so, how do you like it? Does anyone own the FT80 and have probelms with it? How do you like the strength training feature on the FT80? Is it worth the extra money for this?

My main question is about the size of the strap that comes with it. I was going to order the FT60 on Amazon, but there was no selection for strap size. I am a big guy at 6'2" and currently 378.2 lbs. I am concerned that the strap that comes with it will be too small for me. I have seen it on other sites and they offer a selection for different sizes. Amazon does not. Has anyone purchased the FT60 off of Amazon? How big is the strap that comes with it? Do you think I will have an issue?

I'd appreciate any insight into these models and the size of the strap that comes with them, especially off of Amazon if that is where you made your purchase.

Thanks for the help.

There is also an FT40 --- they all let you program V02 max.

Go to the polar site and look.. i'm sure they have the size specs there.

I have reviewed the FT40 as well, however I like the Star training program that is only available on the FT60 and FT80 models. In particular, I like the weight loss selection that is only available on the FT60 Star training program. I am down 74 lbs so far, but I have a long ways to go yet being currently at 378.2 lbs, so I'd like to use this feature.

I have done a lot of research on the polar site and have submitted my questions to their support, however my concern is the size of the strap that comes with the unit if ordered on Amazon since there is no size selection when ordering there.

Honestly, the strap is adjustable and elastic in the back with cloth in the front.. so it can stretch pretty far.

I bought mine off of drugstore.com, but the strap that came with it is m-xl sized.. and that should fit you.

Mine came with a M/XL strap which I can cram and jam myself into, but it does hurt by the end of the workout.

You can order a XXL here, Ive been meaning to get one
