seeing pictures in the clouds?

Good Morning everyone!

So last night during my run I was trying to distract myself from the aching legs and hard breathing, so I used my visualization technique and looked for pictures in the clouds. I know it sounds strange but it's something that has always worked for me to keep me distracted and keep running without slowing down. Last night I saw the faces of Yoda and E.T. in the sky.

So just for fun I thought I'd see what other people do to keep there minds busy when running. Some other techniques of mine are to watch the branches in the trees change shapes as I move past them, or if I'm listening to a dance song I'll imagine myself dancing in the club looking extra hot :)

So what do you guys think about?

When I was a kid I loved to lay on my back on the grass and find objects and scenes in the clouds. I did that with my children and now my grandchildren too.

    Good morning.

My gym has a few skyline openings and plenty of windows which allow me a great view of the sky. Here I thought I was the only the only one who did that. You are right it distracts me from my torture. My evil trainer is often asking me what I'm staring at and I tell him at that cloud. He's like you're a freak and I tell him you're a dork. We laugh and move on.
  • i used to work at a new age warehouse, that sold angels, and tarot, and wiccan items... i stepped outside to catch some fresh air on my lunch break, and saw an angel formation in the clouds. she had a long flowing gown, and wings... i actually went back inside and told the few other people that i worked with... 3 of the 4 came out, and took a look. it was kinda cool, and creepy at the same time.

about a month ago, i saw a shark in the clouds :D
  • LOL! I don't think I will try your technique, I will fall on my face  , but I like it either way. I like to sing outloud (yeah I get some crazy looks). I also pray out loud. It helps me, anyway.
