I'm only posting this to help others. Losing weight and staying on track isn't always easy. Im a mom of 3 litlte boys ages 4.5 and under. I also take care of my neices after school. My husband works so I'm able to stay home. We have 3 dogs. To say Im busy is an understatement.
I get asked all the time....How did you do it? It's all about MAKING time to eat right, and exercise. If you aren't healthy, its harder to be there when everyone needs you. I've never been "thin" My entire adult life I've yo yo'd with weight. I tried all those "fad" diets and the weight ALWAYS came back PLUS...(boy those worked well).
A friend of mine joined MFP and told me about it. I looked into it, and MFP has been the best site I've ever been a part of. I lost faster than some, and I realize that. It's not something I set out to do. My goal was to be back to my pre marriage weight by my 12th wedding annivesary. Dec 11, 2011. I met that goal way before I had planned. WIth the momentum to keep going, I sitll wasn't "healthy" at that weight. The journey continued.
I've gone from 246.2 (logged March 13, 2011) to my current weight of 155.2. I am now in maintainance.. had a back injury that kept me from really exercising much for a few months. Im' recovering nicely at this point, and am ready to jump back on the workout wagon!!!
I feel great and have NEVER been a "healthy" weight until now. The hard part (for me) now is to maintain it!!! Its a life long goal, to be healthy and fit.
I hope this little journey of mine can help someone else not to quit, or give up. It does take time, dedication, patience and the WANT to make yourself a better YOU.
