It's no brainer as long as your total calories remain in a deficit you will continue to lose weight0

yannasmommy - if you are doing the supplemental diet, or want to track how you're doing according to Tony's guidelines, you can change your goal settings to coincide. You will probably find that whatever track you're following for P90X requires more protein than the default here. BRING IT!! :-)0

MFP has a very low setting on protein, you want to be over ..0

I always get extra protein in my diet according to this website. It is not significant to be over your protein intake.
Personally if you're doing strength training, it is good to have extra for muscle build-up.
Take care!0 -
P90X want to to get much more protein for phase 1, so you should be at least double the MFP protein requirement if you are in phase 1.
You can manually go in and change your % carb/protein/fat, by going to goals, click change goals, select custom, make you changes, then click save changes.0 -
Calorie deficit is all the matters right now, and protein is desirable anyway.
However, I have heard that to transition to the Holy Grail of fitness...the sixpack (from Julian Michaels video), you have to cut out sugar, processed food and watch your sodium.0 -

Hi! I have a health coach at work, and she told me to increase my protein intake so that my daily total is 100 grams a day. According to her, I need to have 20 grams of protein every 3 hours. If you're doing a high intensity workout like P90X, high protein will be good for you too.
Keep in mind that MFP uses FDA recommended amounts for your daily carb/sodium/protein etc. goals. Those numbers are not specifically tied to you or your calorie goal.0 -
thank you guys for helping me out. : )0
