Hey all! So I have this urge right now to get a calorie monitor/pedometer. I have no clue about which type- I saw watch versions, then ones you stick on your hip/ pocket. I really want to know my calorie burn for when I just take my daughter or dogs on a walk. For when I chasing her at the park, for when I'm scrubbing the hell out of the bathroom.,ect.
So which ones do you all use and more importantly which ones have been accurate for you?

I use Steps on the iPhone - I've tried 'em all and it's the best by far (lots of stats, pauses when you do, configurable step length etc)

I was a part of a research study at the Northwestern university in Chicago Illinois, the study was about the affects of exercise on patients who had recently had cancer. One of the tools they gave me to use was a pedometer and I was told it is one of the better ones on the market. I was told it was research grade and fairly accurate, so I tested it against my treadmill and just what I know about how many calories I burn at what speed and it appears to work great. It has also helped me a lot, getting in my 5,000 steps a day which I was told was a good number to shoot for. I hope this helps ...its by a company called
NEW LIFESTYLES DIGI-WALKER SW-701 new-lifestyles.com it counts steps, dis/miles and calories
