 Question of the Day- Day 52!!!

Do you log cleaning as "exercise" on MFP? Do you feel it's fair to do that?

**Me- I was logging my cleaning for 2 reasons.. 1 because I saw other people doing it so I thought it was acceptable and 2 because it was even an option under exercise lol after talking to a friend last night though who is also doing MFP she said I shouldn't be counting my cleaning because it's just normal calorie burn and not exercise burn. Now I am debating if I should log cleaning or not??

I log anything that is out of the ordinary such as yardwork or deep cleaning my floors. Nothing ordinary gets logged. Like someone said on another post, I got fat doing these things so why would I count them when I'm trying to lose?

hahahaha that's true and for sure a good way to look at it lol
  • nope I don't
I don't clean that often as my husband does most of it...please no haters ...haha
I also don't log in yard work or other things like that....perhaps I should?
  • I think if I am sweating or feel like it is good "physical" work then, yes, I log it in. I have logged houeswork and yard work in when it was a rigorous workout for me.

I think I will only log the hard stuff like when I mow the lawn. But cleaning the house like dusting, vaccuming, picking up toys I am not going to log!
