Most people need to eat more than waht MFP recommends. I eat on avg 1500 to 1600 a day, but zig zag mine throughout the week. Today is my 1800 cal day. If you workout on a regular basis, you should be fine at only going over 300 calories0

i LOVE zig-zagging and yes, the calories are generally a bit higher. THis could be due to the calculator you are using (some INCLUDE exercise calories while MFP doesnt) or it could simply be because in order to get enough calories for your body to tell the difference each day, you will need to eat a bit more.
i've blogged on this extensively and it is still (in my opinion) one of the best, if not THE best, thing to do to break a plateau or just have killer weight loss!0
