It donned on me just a few mins ago, that the less I weigh, the more hungry I am! Probably doesn't make sense, but its the truth. When I was losing weight, I never really ate back my exercise calories. Now that Im 90+ pound less and maintaining, I am always hungry. If it weren't for the fact I get 1850 a day w/o exercise, I'd prob go over sometimes. Hmmmm

My advise would be to eat more protein so you'll stay full.

Your body has probably learned to efficiently process that food into fuel instead of sending it straight to fat. You're probably much more active and therefore your metabolism has improved so it needs the added fuel to keep going.

I also find that despite calorie counting, I'm eating just as much food as I used to (maybe even more) and eating more often. My problem was more getting the right quantity of quality foods!

Yes! When I feel hungry I have to stop and eat other wise I get real grummpy and a nervious feeling. Many times my husban and I would be in the middle of a project and I would have to appoligzy that I needed to go eat. I have a great spouse he has never complained.

For me, it's more of mind over matter. I now weigh less than I did when I graduated college...and each time I see that lower weight show up on the scale...I always want to eat something bad! Self sabotage maybe? Celebrating with food? It's still something I struggle with, but after a day or two, I get back on track. It's hard training the brain.

I've never weighed what I do now in my adult life. I only eat when hungry. What I have left over cal wise at the end of night, really doesn't matter as long as Im not in the red. If I dont' eat, I do tend to get dizzy.

Lean muscle burns more calories. So if you've put on lean muscle, then you're metabolism is burning faster, thus you get more calories.

Try adding more protein in and a little more healthy fat.

    God bless!
  • Interesting! You shouldn't be hungy and that's not good. You might want to experiment by exchanging certain foods that you eat with other foods that would make you feel full. You've been very successful and have lost a ton of weight so I'm sure you'll figure it out! Wish I was at my maintenance weight! nice problem to have
