Does anyone use a butter/margarine substitute that's actually healthier than the rest? I love I Cant Believe Its Not Butter Spray, but I know, I know...its flavored chemicals.

any suggestions?

I eat the real thing, just less of it than I did before. I dont care for the chemicals so I also have a pump for my Olive Oil. I can spray my salad or the fry pan with OVOO w/o the chems.

It just tastes better to me.

I have a 1/4 stick of butter I save for swiping across toast or english muffins. I just scrape the stick across the hot toast...I get the taste and use very little butter.

    :flowerforyou: Hope this helps

Shedd's Spread--spreadable butter. About the only 2 ingredients are butter and canola oil. Yummy!

I don't think you can get really healthy in this category. Fruit only spreads are not bad.

This entire category is either fat or chemicals. You can get heathier fats, but it's all pretty much degrees of evil.

I opt for the spray, since calories are my current demon.

I once had a person tell me that if you need butter on your bread then you need to buy better bread. I think there is some wisdom to this; butter products should be minimized.

Jeannie, I love this idea! When I have my toast tomorrow morning I am using it!
