Hi there. I am Laura and joined MFP yesterday. I have decided over the next few days to track EVERYTHING I eat--and eat as I normally would--in order to see what I need to fix and where I am going really really wrong. I "officially" begin on Monday Sept 19th.. I felt like I needed a few days to "prepare myself" for this whole new concept of "counting calories ?" Is that crazy?? I think I need to see exactly how bad all the crap is that I eat and binge on on a daily basis to shock myself into seeing how badly I am treating my body.

I have been on this rollar coaster of food addiction and weight obsession for over 20 + and am realy to stop and take a good hard deep look at myslef.

I am hoping to meet some new friends, as well has help motivate people to get to their own goals.

welcome Laura. Self analysis is never easy but is essential for success and and progression in life. I commend you for having the courage to be able to stare the ugly truth in the face and then the strength to work towards making the necessary changes. I will offer what ever support I can along the way. Welcome again.

When I started, I was totally shocked at how much I was eating! Keeping track is the key and drinking lots of water. I started with a treadmill and ended up jogging and running outside. Now I feel strange if I do not do some form of exercise. Good luck to you!:flowerforyou:
