Starting Over

I am a 32 year old mom of 3 (8,5, and 2), wife of a hubby whose works very long hours ten months out of the year, and teacher (so my work craziness has begun). At the beginning of the summer (my time to spend with my babies) I promised myself that I would go back to school in the fall healthier and lighter. Well, it was an epic fail. Not only did I Gain weight but I feel awful. I used to have so much self control, now I just give in to the bad food all the time. I NEED to change my habits and my attitudes now before I spiral further out of control in the food world. I am angry with myself and feel like such a failure at this point. Got back out my Eat to Live book tonight and plan to start tomorrow like it's the first day of the rest of my new healthy life. No excuses! Any one out there is similar circumstances that could also use an encouraging friend? Would love to get some more "buddies" for inspiration and encouragement!

Believe me, I do understand exactly where you are coming from. I cannot tell you not to feel discouraged, because feelings are part of being human. What I will say is this, don't wallow in self pity. You did the right thing and get back on the weight loss wagon. Having friends who are there to encourage you when you are feeling weak and rejoice with you when you are experiencing a success is essential to you reaching your goal. I commend you for the choices you have made so far to change you life. Keep it going.0

I am feeling this way too! About 6 months ago I was totally committed to healthy living, but let it all slide and even stopped tracking calories on MFP! And now all of my "big" pants are fitting again! But now i am back & re-committed to fitness & eating right again! I was a little down about letting it go, but at least i caught myself before it got TOO OUT OF CONTROL! Think positive, positive POSITIVE! Even little steps add up!0
