Calories Burned While Walking

I do Leslie Sanson's Walk Away the Pounds every morning, and I always log it as the same as regular walking, but I was wondering if it really burned as many calories. Does anyone know?

    log it in a walking 4.0 miles and hour. You are burning that many cals. I actually burn MORE than what is listed here.

    Leslies dvds are just walking. in the 4 fast miles she does kick it up a notch with jogging in place, but you can walk...period. walking in place, no fancy schmancy moves. lift your arms and walk in place.

    so just goin for a walk round the block will burn calories how long do you have to walk for

    kazzit, anything you do that is more than sitting in a chair will burn calories. As a matter of fact I burned 50 calories doing arm exercises whilst sitting in my chair!!

    You can use a can of beans which is 16 oz to 'lift weights' while watchiing your fav program.

    Walking around the block burns calories. Each time you do it go a bit farther, and a bit faster. Before you know it you will be walking a mile without thinking about it!!

    I literally walked to the end of my street and back the 1st time I exercised.

    put the numbers in the exercise log and test it!

    for the beginning times just try out 30 minute mile. and then walk for 30 minutes. or 15 or 5 if that is all you can do.

    just get started and dont think about it so much. you are psyching yourself right out of actually doing it.

    I did THAT I know!! I do!!

    Just get up and go for a walk. Before you know it you will be feeling better, I promise

    I love walking especially outside when it is so nice out!!
