Well, since starting my weight loss journey I've discovered so much about myself more than just weight - but what I was trying to hide beneath all that food, eating to hide my past.

And now the time has come to start forgiving myself for all thats happened that wasn't my fault, and to start turning my old wrongs into better rights. I've carried heavy burdons with me since I was 7 years old, the main ones starting at 13. The world feels like it's sitting on my shoulders some days but all I do is sit on my *kitten* and let karma and crap come get me, family walking all over me, well no more! I'm gunna make something good happen, and I wanna help people because I could never help myself when I needed it.

With each pound of fat I shed I feel better about myself and worse about how I've delt with my life up till now. I wanna start giving back to the world and instead of sitting here talking about how bad things are in the world and bad people, stupid choices, if I just stand up and do something - it only takes 1 little person to make a change, right?

So I've been looking into chairtys in my area this morning. And I think I'm going to ring a few up and see if theres anything at all I can do to help them out. Working in shops, talking to people, fundraisers if they need me too. Because lets face it, whats the point in looking pretty if your ugly on the inside?

Has anyone ever worked for chairty, is it flexible, I have a son and would need to find a babysitter for if they needed me. Is it easy to get into chairty work, are they acceptable/understandable of people with kids and the need to find child care ect??

Any little bits of information anyone could give me would be greatly appricated, thanks!
