What do you mean by Stone?

Options
Hi, sorry if I may sound a bit weird but I'm just wondering what a stone mean. I keep on seeing my friend's posts & other posts here that says they lose 2 stones or they weigh 10 stones etc. Many times I can't figured out exactly how much they lost since I grew up knowing only kgs & lately lbs. so I have no idea what is a stone mean & what its equivalent in either kilos or lbs. Any information will be appreciated, thanks.

1 stone is equal to 6.35kg. It's just a measurement of weight =)

A stone is 14 lbs. If you ever need to know what it is in lbs or kg you can type "x stone in lbs" (or kg) into google and it'll convert it for you (I use it a lot to turn lbs into stone so I don't have to do the sums myself!)
