So. Im 5´3 and my goalweight is somewhere between 145-160 lbs. To some of you that might be considered still on the high end but the reason im aiming there is I dont see myself training 5 times a week still eating only 1200-1600 calories a day.
Now, those of you who are about the same height but have reached a lower goalweight, how hard do you have to work to maintain? How many calories do you eat, how often do you train? Im talking about the more muscular of you, not the petite ones, sorry! Hope you can help me out!

I am 5'4" female who currently weights about 119. I started to consider myself maintaining at around 125. I am doing a fitness challenge right now, hence the weight loss. To maintain, I used to just walk. The mile and a 1/2 to work and back each day was all the exercise I needed not to gain weight. when the mood hit or when I felt the flabby arms coming back I would do push-ups for a few days (nothing excessive). I also stand a lot at work - so calf raises are my best friend. Hope this helps.0

How said you only have to eat 1200-1600 calories a day? There is a good chance that is under eating, especially if you workout 5 times a week. I would reconsider your caloric needs before reconsidering your goal. I am almost at my goal body fat (weight, I don't care as much about) and I eat all day long 2800 calories or so. As you get closer to your goal, the more calories your body will need to consume to lose as large deficit can cause your body to hold onto food. My biggest advice to you is get your body fat measured and look at the below resources to more education. When i started my journey, i was at 18% body fat and now I am less than 12% (60 days ago i measured at 11.75%) and I have been increasing my caloric needs as I have gone (from 1800 to 2800 now).

I am still losing at 1570 calories a day before exercice calories. I am 123 pounds and 5'0''. I do strenght training 3 times a week and it take me about 35-40 minutes each time. I hate doing hours and hours of cardio too so I understand you not wanting to exercice 5 times a week LOL. I am guessing my maintenance calories at about 1800 calories a day and with strenght training, my goal is to put on muscle mass and then eat 2000 calories a day to maintain. Maybe it is something you could consider to have a higher metabolism and not start gaining weight as soon as you eat more than 1600 calories?0
