I am recently pregnant (havn't even told my parents!) and I am looking to get into some yoga to help with stretching and keeping active durring my pregnancy. Any suggestions on a DVD that is good for begining yoga and for someone who is pregnant?? Thanks in advance!

when I was pregnant I did Yoga Mama made by the Crunch gym it was good I have passed it along to others who have liked it too
  • I started practicing yoga (off and on) from the age of 13. I LOVE how it makes me feel. When I got pregnant with my son about six years ago, I continued to do yoga and it helped me maintain flexibility. I can't remember which prenatal yoga I used, but almost any of the ones you find now will be good.

Whatever you do, LISTEN to the person who is giving instructions. There are some poses that some pregnant women cannot do (you know this by listening to your body), and there are also poses that you cannot do as your pregnancy progresses.

    Good luck and congrats!!

Prenatal Yoga with Shiva Rea. I used it when I was pregnant. I liked it because as you progress throughout your pregnancy it gives you different modifications. Unfortunately, it is more like stretching than a workout but I still loved it.

Congrats! I think working out during pregnancy is so important, considering giving birth is the hardest workout a women will ever have!
