How am I suppose to track it?!

I just joined a mom's work out group, and man does the trainer kick my dairy air, but the only problem is, how do I track it in my log? We do lots of random running and resistance band workouts, and the time seems to fly so I don't know how long we do a certain exercise. Is there any way to kind of estimate the calorie burn?

get a heart rate monitor that includes a chest strap (I use the Polar FT4...and there are more expensive Polar units that give more bells and whistles).

until you get a HRM, the best bet is to log this as "circuit training" under cardio....just understand that the estimated calories burned may not be accurate.
  • If you are doing strength training, just go to Cardio and enter strength training. Then add the minutes you performed the training and it will calculate the calories you burned.

Maybe track as circuit training if you are doing cardio and strength during the session.
  • I am in a boot camp my trainer told me to log it in as circuit training.

Be careful with MFP. They tend to estimate calories high. you can find heart rate calculators online that are more accurate because they use your weight, age, gender, and average heart rate. If it ask for a VO2MAX number, try to keep it low. I enter 16 for this space. (If you leave it blank, it estimates high as well.)
