My little NSVs + 1 SV

I have 3 NSV's and 1 SV so far this week:

On Monday, my husband and I took his sister to Red Lobster for dinner. I was under my calorie goal by 22 calories even though I got to eat my favorite items including the cheddar biscuits (I compromised with half of one). I discovered I do NOT have to drown lobster or crab legs in drawn butter to be delicious, they taste much much better with only fresh lemon juice squeezed onto them, and that the drawn butter actually tastes pretty nasty (I let myself have butter on the very last bite. YUCK!).

Yesterday, my boss made a Foster's Freeze run and brought back medium root beer floats for everyone. I told her thank you and that I had to look up the calorie content before I ate it. When I couldn't find calorie content anywhere on the web, I chose not to eat it.

My last (maybe TMI so don't read if you are offended by underwear) - I have a pair of Spanx-type underwear I have to wear under a certain pair of jeans. I don't know about the rest of you but these are super uncomfortable to me and it is like they are 2-3 sizes too small so that they can hold your fat in and make clothes fit. So, I put on my tightie-tans this morning and guess what? THEY AREN"T UNCOMFORTABLE! Neither are the jeans! I put them on and it is just like wearing any other pair. Woohoo! /happy dance!

Now for my SV (may also be TMI - period talk follows. Don't read if you are offended)... When I completed my first few weeks here, I was soooo pleased to be down 12lbs. Then my period hit and I stopped eating like I'm supposed to (went lower in calories instead of higher, oddly enough). I gained 8lbs back, felt super depressed, and felt like giving up. Did a bunch of searching here for what I was doing wrong and kicked up my water consumption a LOT compared to what I drank before (um, nothing). It did take 2 weeks for my body to readjust but I lost those 8lbs again + an extra. Now I want to see how well I do before my next period hits because I know I will gain but I want to try to minimize that gain. Challenge accepted. :P
