Fairly New Here

Hi there! I started here in late August and have lost nearly 6lbs since then. I started exercising about 3 times a week back in May, but just wasn't seeing any weight loss results. Keeping track of my calories here has been a great help. I now walk/run, elliptical or bike ride nearly 5-6 times a week (earning extra calories for exercise done is a great motivator to keep up the exercise so, yeah, I do tend to eat my calories, but not always all of them, and sometimes I am still a little over, but I feel okay about that since my total intake is still less than 2000/day).
I did my first 5K in near 3 years back in July coming in around 55 min. Did the Susan G Komen Kansas City 5K last month coming in about 50:15 (and there were some SERIOUS hills). I will be doing the Free to Breathe 5K this month and hope to continue improving my time. My goal is to lose another 40lbs, but I also want to feel more fit again. I can already feel a difference, and it feels great. Having a 5K lined up, I've found, has been a good motivator for me to keep up my daily exercise as well.
I have been peeking in and around the forum topics here and responding here and there to some. I am interested in adding friends who are positive motivators and to whom, perhaps, I can also motivate.
